Abstract:

Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) are important technical equipment for human beings to explore and exploit the ocean, and the R&D capability of UUVs marks the technical level of national deep-sea resource investigation and marine scientific research. This paper briefly introduces the development status of deep-sea UUVs abroad and focuses on the research progress of China’s deep-sea UUVs with the depth ratings of 4500 m, 6000 m, and 11000 m (full ocean depth). Moreover, this paper expounds on the important role of China’s deep-sea UUVs in deep-sea mineral resource investigation and deep-sea scientific research, as well as the constructed technical equipment system for exploration and operation at full ocean depth. Upon the analysis of the challenges faced by China’s deep-sea UUVs, some suggestions for future development are put forward.

水下机器人是人类探索海洋、认识海洋和开发海洋的重要技术装备,其研发能力在一定程度上标志着国家深海资源调查、海洋科学研究的技术水平。文章简要介绍了国外深海机器人发展现状,重点介绍了中国深海4500米级、6000米级和11000米级（全海深）水下机器人的研究进展,阐述了中国深海机器人在深海矿产资源勘查和深海科学研究中发挥的重要作用以及构建的全海深探测与作业技术装备体系。在分析中国深海机器人面临挑战的基础上,提出未来发展的建议。
