About the Journal

Science and Technology Foresight is a comprehensive academic journal in natural sciences with a focus on technology think tanks. It is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology and organized and published by the Science and Technology Review Publishing House, with the publication of the first issue in 2022. It is dedicated to publishing reviews and commentaries on research findings related to major national strategic tasks, important areas at the forefront of technology, and key core technologies and aims to promote academic exchange, advance technological progress, and support the high-quality development of China’s economy and society.

The regular sections include “Foresight”, “Review and Commentary”, “Focus”, “Forum”, “Culture”, and “Book Review”. Specifically, “Foresight” and “Review and Commentary” are fixed sections, while the others are variable. Currently, this journal is a quarterly publication, with issues released on the 20th of the last month of each quarter. Each issue contains no fewer than 64 pages and is publicly issued and sold both at home and abroad. The layout design of the journal is simple and elegant, featuring a combination of text and illustrations, with appropriately sized text. The journal is in large sextodecimo format, printed on lightweight paper and in full color.

The content of each section is described as follows.

Foresight: It primarily publishes important viewpoints on the future of technology development from academicians or leading experts in the field.

Review and Commentary: It primarily publishes reviews or commentaries from strategic scientists and frontline researchers on major national strategic tasks, important areas at the forefront of technology, and key core technologies, including their development status in China and abroad, the latest research results, future development directions, existing issues, and advisory recommendations.

Focus: It primarily publishes summaries, reviews, or interpretations of recent significant academic achievements in China and abroad, as well as updates on related current research progress.

Forum: It primarily publishes important viewpoints on major scientific issues and hot topics in scientific development presented by experts at significant academic conferences organized by the China Association for Science and Technology and national societies.

Culture: It publishes biographies, ideological research, and interviews of renowned scientists, as well as articles on scientific thoughts, scientific ethics, and scientific morality.

Book Review: It publishes reviews of new academic works in the fields of subject monographs, biographies of scientists, history of science and technology, philosophy of science and technology, and popular science.
